Radio or Wired Motor for Roller Shutter
The roller shutter motors, also known as tubular motors, are very easy to replace in case of failure. They are simply attached inside the winding tube, which is connected to the curtain by fasteners. When you operate your motor with a wired switch or radio remote, it drives the rotation of the telescopic tube around which the curtain wraps. Thus, it is very simple to replace the motor inside the tube, provided you have the correct diameter, the right power, and the appropriate adapters. For this, you need to determine what type of tube you have.
Octagonal or ZF Brand Winding Tube
There are two main types of winding tubes on the market: octagonal telescopic tubes and ZF brand telescopic tubes, one of the largest French manufacturers of roller shutter systems. These two types of tubes have a different profile, which is why adapters are provided with the motor to ensure it works with your tube.
