The Advantages of a Sliding Door

  1. Save Space: Unlike a hinged door that requires a clearance of about 1 m², the sliding door runs along the wall and frees up the passage without cluttering the space. Ideal for optimizing small rooms like the kitchen or bathroom.
  2. Modulate the Space: With a sliding door, it is easy to create a partition between two rooms or within the same room yourself. Easily separate your office area from your bedroom, or create a modular separation between your living room and kitchen, for example.
  3. Choose Your Type of Door: Closet or furniture door, interior or exterior, wood or glass, surface-mounted or pocket, straight or folding, manual or motorized: the applications are numerous and varied. Find the SLID'UP by Mantion sliding kit suitable for your project based on the weight and thickness of your panels. The SLID'UP by Mantion rails are also trimmable to perfectly fit the width of your opening.
  4. Redesign Your Interior: Stylish and trendy, the sliding door is a major decorative element in your interior. For a contemporary ambiance, a surface-mounted sliding door with an industrial style with visible rail and fittings will perfectly suit your living room. For a modern and sleek interior, opt for a pocket sliding door: when opened, it completely disappears inside your partition for a perfect finish.
  5. Motorize Your Sliding Door: For maximum comfort of use, or for the essential needs of people with reduced mobility (PRM), an automated sliding door is the ideal solution. Connected to an infrared sensor, the door detects your presence and opens automatically in front of you, then closes a few moments after you pass.

Installation with or without Floor Rail?

With Ceiling Rail Only

Suspended sliding systems with surface-mounted or ceiling rail are recommended for room separation doors. Without a floor rail, passage is facilitated and you maintain the aesthetics of your living spaces. Moreover, the floor rail would become an obstacle when sweeping or mopping, for example.

With Ceiling and Floor Rail

Sliding systems with floor and ceiling rail are recommended for closet, furniture, or wardrobe sliding doors. Thanks to spring-mounted fittings, level differences in case of uneven floors or ceilings are absorbed, ensuring smooth and effortless movement.

Surface-Mounted or Pocket Installation?

Surface-Mounted Sliding System

With a surface-mounted sliding system, the rail is fixed to the wall and remains visible. The door slides in front of the wall and thus remains visible on the side where it is installed but allows for a significant space saving compared to a traditional hinged door. It is possible to conceal the rail and fittings behind a finishing cover called a fascia, or leave them visible for an industrial-style interior.

Pocket Sliding System

With a pocket sliding system, more aesthetic and practical, the door slides on a rail housed inside a frame that is embedded in the partition. The door completely disappears into the wall for maximum space saving and a perfect finish. Sliding systems designed for ceiling rail installation are also suitable for pocket installation without a frame.
